Story

[p]Little Harbour, Porthpean, St Austell[/p][p]Little Harbour is a home-from-home. A place where each family member can find time and space to feel normal and do the things they enjoy as a Mum, as a Dad, as a brother or sister: as a family, not overwhelmingly as a carer. Little Harbour opened its doors to its first families in December 2011 and is most conveniently situated for families who live in Cornwall, Plymouth and parts of South Devon.[/p][p][br][/p][p]Facilities[/p][p]At Little Harbour as with all our hospices, families will discover individual children’s bedrooms, accommodation for parents and siblings, a wide range of play and therapy facilities – including a messy play area, soft play room, a hydrotherapy pool and a multi-sensory room – and a homely family kitchen and living room. For teenagers staying at Little Harbour they can make use of the IT and music facilities as well as use the games room as a place for chilling out, watching films and taking a few minutes to beat dad at pool. [/p][p][br][/p][p]Little Harbour's Grounds[/p][p]Little Harbour benefits from being set within the countryside with views across to St Austell. Children and families can all enjoy time in the gardens together whether it's relaxing with the calming sounds of the water in the Ebb and Flow Garden, enjoying looking out for wildlife in Robin's Song wildlife garden or all of the sensory experiences in Mermaids Cove Sensory Garden. With accessible swings, picnic tables and pathways as well as plenty of ground for children to play, the garden at Little Harbour is always a popular place to be especially when the sun is shining.[/p]
