Story

[p]Give the gift of education[/p][p]After 10 years of generous support, helping us provide more than 1,000 children with a life-changing education, our previous scholarship donor has changed strategy, discontinuing their support of small organisations (like ours). While we have managed to support most of the children to the end of their education, we still have 6 young people who have either one or two years left of their University education. We need your help to give Samuel Otieno Deya the gift of education.[/p][p]About Rebecca[/p][p]Rebecca is 24 years old. Both of parents passed away due to illness when she was in primary school. She and her younger siblings moved in with their grandmother, who is in a wheelchair and in need of care and support. Rebecca did well in primary school despite having to care for grandmother and young siblings. Due to the limited means of her household, Rebecca could not continue onto secondary school. She was admitted to our scholarship programme and graduated successfully, achieving the grades required to attend university. We have until now supported Rebecca through her BA in Education and IT at Jaramogi Oginga Odinga University of Science and Technology.[/p]
