[p]Snowdrop is 4 years old. She is funny, loving, creative and curious. Snowy and her sister Posy, are everything to us. Her bravery has been the catalyst for this fundraising project.[/p][p]In September 2017, in her first week at school, a lump grew aggressively above her eye. Within days, the tumour was removed and she was diagnosed with Rhabdomyosarcoma, a childhood cancer which affects 4 in one million children.[/p][p]Our life was shattered into a million incomprehensible pieces. I will never forget the moment we were told our little girl had cancer. I will never forget having to tell grandparents, uncle and aunts, friends. [/p][p]But Snowy led the way. Her love of life continued to grow exponentially each day. We followed her (with a few dips along the way) Snowy is now 4 months into a chemotherapy plan and is preparing for a trip to USA for Proton Beam therapy. She is our hero.[/p][p]TriEveryDay4Snowy grew from a survival instinct. On the first day of diagnosis, I ran, physically and emotionally. Then I went for a swim, and then I decided to bring closure to the day by cycling. The distances were quite deliberate. They completed an Olympic Triathlon distance. From that day on, I decided that this would be something I would keep doing until it became meaningless. As I write this, I have just completed my 114th consecutive Olympic distance triathlon. TriEveryDay4Snowy comprises of a 1.5k Swim each day, a 40k ride and a 10k Run. It represents the desire to dig in and fight but much more importantly, it has evolved into a mission to bring love and recognition to families in this situation and the bravery of the people we have met along the way. [/p][p]The response of Snowy, the unshakeable dedication of Polly as a mother, the strength and character of Posy as a sister (who is only 2 yrs old) has filled me to bursting point with pride and admiration. The families we have met who are fighting in the same way, deserve so much love and positivity from you. [/p][p]Your donations will go directly to three charities who we believe are invaluable in supporting families who find themselves in our situation. Please see our website for more details.[/p][p]I hope that this can become the first genuinely global triathlon. Where people from all corners of the world run, swim or cycle to stand up to childhood cancer. Get out there and do it now ! A jog around the park, a couple of lengths in the local pool, or a quick spin on the rusty old bike that hasn't seen daylight for years. And when you complete YOUR TriEveryDay4Snowy, ask a loved one to give you money for your efforts and pledge that money here. Also, log your achievement at www.trieveryday4snowy.com We're sure, you will feel wonderful for doing so.[/p][p]In April, we will re-evaluate but we will find time for a couple of marathons. Polly and I will run the Brighton marathon and a week later, I will complete the London marathon. Donate now, we are trying build momentum and we need your help.[/p][p][br][/p]
