[p]Our 8 month old baby girl Amie started having seizures out of the blue in May this year. After a spell in Yorkhill she was diagnosed with epilepsy and will now be on anti seizure medication for some years. Her seizures are still not under control, the last one being 4 weeks ago, and they have progressed to tonic-clonic seizures where she stops breathing, is unresponsive and shakes. [/p][p]&nbsp[/p][p]We have discovered there are many families out there with children with similar seizures whose lives would be improved if they had an epilepsy seizure alarm which triggers if a nocturnal seizure occurs.[/p][p]&nbsp[/p][p]These alarms retail between &pound500 and &pound750 each and we would like to raise as much money as possible to help these families in need.[/p][p]&nbsp[/p][p]We are delighted that you have come to this page to support an amazing cause, so thank you. [/p][p]&nbsp[/p][p]The money raised will be split between two charities who tirelessly campaign to raise funds for alarms, they have waiting lists of over 250 people each at this current time.&nbsp[/p][p]&nbsp[/p][p]We are holding a Race Night on Sat 3 October in Glasgow Indoor Bowling Club so if your donation is to -[/p][ul][li]sponsor a horse and jockey - &pound10[/li][/ul][p]please provide the names you wish to see in the programme.[/p][p]If you wish to buy a book of raffle tickets for &pound5 please purchase online here and email me your full name, address and telephone no to lornaforrest@outlook.com&nbsp[/p][p]If you have any questions please email me or contact me through our FB page https://www.facebook.com/amiethebear[/p][p]&nbsp[/p][p]&nbsp[/p]
