Story

[p]On Tuesday 12th February 2002 it was the worst day of my life but also for my family as I sadly lost my Mum to Cancer at the age of 42.[/p][p]Me being aged 11, I never knew how to deal with the grief of losing a parent but within 4 years after this, I lost a further 3 more close family members.[/p][p]Since then I have been battling with my own Mental Health and being a young lad, never showed my emotions but also started to isolate myself at home and not really be involved with my family or friends, this was damaging.[/p][p]In the end I made the bravest decision in 2012 and finally admitted to my best mate James that I was struggling.[/p][p]Then struggling, this was the first and best day of my life towards recovery.[/p][p]Since then I have become stronger in talking about my emotions to the point where I run a social media platform sharing my experience while also talking about my feelings.[/p][p]And now I have set up the Claire Killick Memorial in memory of my Mum, while supporting the 3 charities who I believe would benefit the money.[/p][p]Cancer Research 33%[/p][p]Macmillan Cancer Support 33%[/p][p]The Lucy Rayner Foundation 34%[/p][p]I personally work closely with The Lucy Rayner Foundation through the work I do and that is why I am supporting them but in my opinion all 3 charities are crucial through any cancer treatment.[/p][p]With this project I will be doing various fundraising events so the best way to keep updated with what I am doing is to keep checking my website out. [/p][p]I would appreciate any donations that you could give to this page even if its £1 and your money will be divided by 3 between them so they all get a share of your money automatically.[/p][p]TOGETHER WE CAN BEAT CANCER AND END THIS WAR ONCE AND FOR ALL.[/p][p]Love [/p][p]Steve Killick[/p][p][br][/p][p]www.stevekillick90.com[/p][p]ckm@stevekillick90.com[/p][p][br][/p]
