[p][span=font-size: small;]Boost Charitable Trust - with the support of Sam’s wife and family - has launched a Sporting Legacy in Sam Sananes’s name. The Legacy will help aid sports activities for the disadvantaged and disabled. Over time, we hope to build a portfolio of awards across a range of fields that were relevant to Sam, to inspire and help people to overcome their challenges through the power of sport.[/span][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][span=font-size: small;]Sam was passionate about sports his whole life. Not only did he walk from 11 months old, but he dribbled a football the next day. Sam played badminton for Leicestershire County. He was also a club representative at Leicestershire Tennis for the Junior Mixed Doubles team.[/span][/p][p][/p][p][span=font-size: small;][lt]br /[gt][/span][/p] [p][span=font-size: small;]Sam represented Stoneygate School and Loughborough Grammar across a wide variety of sporting disciplines including rugby, cricket, tennis and football. He went on to become Rugby Club Captain whilst at Sheffield University. He was an avid fan of both the Leicester City Football Club and Leicester Tigers Rugby Club.[/span][/p][p][span=font-size: small;][lt]br /[gt][/span][/p] [p][span=font-size: small;]Following his university days, Sam travelled the world attending major sporting events for Gullivers Sports Travel as a Tour Manager, before deciding on a career in property. He was awarded “Young Property Personality of the Year” in 2012 by Property Week magazine. His UBS-CLOVA fund also went on to become the strongest performing unlisted real estate fund in the UK. [/span][/p][p][/p][p][span=font-size: small;][lt]br /[gt][/span][/p] [p][span=font-size: small;]Sam ran the New York Marathon and three London Marathons for charity, including one dressed as Big Ben. He was always heavily involved in charity, and was a committee member for the Microscope Ball - a real estate industry event in aid of the Muscular Dystrophy Campaign. He was then Chairman of the committee for four years and raised over £300,000 for the cause. [/span][/p]
