How Virgin Money customers are making the world brighter for UK charities
Nearly £300,000 has been donated thanks to the Virgin Money Current Account offer
Earlier this year Virgin Money launched its Brighter Money Bundle and nearly £300,000 has been raised so far!
In case you missed it, here’s how the offer works:
Every time one of your supporters switches to Virgin Money’s Current Account, you could get a £50 donation to your cause. They simply need to choose your charity when they switch, and £50 will be donated to you. All of our 13,000 charities are eligible for the extra donations.
Anyone who makes the switch will also receive a 12 bottle luxury case of wine worth £138 from Virgin Wines (great for their next charity raffle!). You can find out more about the offer and the qualifying criteria at virginmoney.com
Here’s just a few of the charities benefitting so far.
£200 was raised for Bolton Hospice:
“We are so grateful to have received a donation of £200 from Virgin Money current account customers who have chosen us to benefit from this wonderful donation. Bolton Hospice remains on the front line of the response to the Covid-19 pandemic and our vital care and support for local people has continued throughout. We have reshaped our services in response to the pandemic, doubling the capacity of our Hospice at Home team which has enabled us to care for more of our patients in their own homes during the COVID-19 crisis. Your donation of £200 could pay for two of these precious Hospice at Home visits and we can’t thank you enough for this support.” – Kathryn Willett, Interim Fundraising Manager at Bolton Hospice.
£400 was raised for Children’s Hospice South West:
“We are thrilled that £400 has been raised through Virgin Money customers choosing to support Children’s Hospice South West when taking out a Virgin Money Current Account. £1150 was raised for Children with Cancer:
“Children with Cancer UK are delighted to have benefitted from the incentive currently being run by Virgin Money. The money that has been donated will go towards vital specialist research to save the lives of every child with cancer and keep their family together. £1700 was raised for Guide Dogs:
“We’d like to thank Virgin Money customers for choosing Guide Dogs as part of their new Brighter Money Bundle offer. Every £50 donation received can buy a Puppy Raising Kit to support the early development of a future life-changing guide dog. Our iconic guide dog service is now in its 90th year and today we support over 6,200 guide dog owners across the UK. £5000 was raised for Macmillan:
"We’re so grateful to all the new Virgin Money customers who chose to support Macmillan Cancer Support when they set up their new account. It’s raised over £5000 so far, which would be enough to pay for a Macmillan nurse for one month, helping people living with cancer and their families receive essential medical, practical and emotional support.
