Why do so many fundraisers choose us?

We don’t believe that business should profit from charity. It’s why we set up Virgin Money Giving, as a much needed not-for-profit alternative to challenge the status quo.

We’ll help you create a fundraising page, rally your friends, share your story, keep you motivated and most importantly – make sure your efforts have a real impact.

A £10 donation has more impact with us than JustGiving. See the difference.

Got a question?

Here are some of the more commonly asked questions about fundraising with Virgin Money Giving.

You can raise money for up to 5 charities for each event you take part in. You can also decide how the money is split between the charities – unless the event is organised by a specific charity, when all proceeds will go to that charity.

You’ll be able to see your page on Virgin Money Giving for 3 months after the activity date. After 3 months the page will become inactive and stop showing up in searches. You can always re-open the page by signing in to your account and selecting ‘Re-open’ from the options.

Virgin Money Giving will notify and pass on your online donations once a week to your chosen charity or charities.

Yes. Once you’ve set up your fundraising page, you’ll see a ‘Raised offline’ section under your fundraising total. Choose ‘Edit’ to add the total amount you’ve raised offline and select ‘Save’. The amount will now appear as part of your total. Just send the funds directly to your charity by cheque or BACS payment.

The Government allows charities to claim back tax on donations. This tax relief is called 'Gift Aid'.

Gift Aid is great because it means charities get extra money added to their donations at no extra cost to the donor. For every £1 donated, the charity currently receives £1.25 when you add Gift Aid. To make it easier we claim Gift Aid from HMRC on behalf of charities and pass over in full free of charge.
