The Virgin Money London Marathon Running Show

What you can expect from Virgin Money Giving

A visitor enjoying the Virgin Money Giving Challenge Zone

This year’s Virgin Money London Marathon Running Show is open for the four days leading up to race day – from Wednesday, 24 April to Saturday, 27 April. During race week, people are excited and the inspiring atmosphere gets everyone geared up.

Expect to find exhibitions, expert talks and major athletic brands showing and selling their latest products. Among all this you can find our Virgin Money Giving Challenge Zone too.

What is the Virgin Money Giving Challenge Zone?

Our Challenge Zone is themed to celebrate runners, the huge effort they have put in to take part in the marathon and all the money they have raised for all the many causes they are supporting. It’s about having fun and celebrating.

What to expect

You can expect to find a wide range of fun challenges from ten pin bowling to air hockey, plus a huge dance floor. And the best thing is you can take part with other runners, or your friends and family, to win a £5 donation voucher for your chosen charity.

How do I get a voucher?

You will receive a £5 donation voucher if you score a strike on the ten pin bowling alley, learn a dance routine on the dancefloor or beat our pros at air hockey.

How do I claim my voucher?

Each voucher includes a unique code. If you’re fundraising with Virgin Money Giving you can claim your donation directly to your fundraising page on virginmoneygiving.com. If you’re fundraising on a different website you can either choose for the donation to go directly to a registered charity, or to the official charity of the 2019 Virgin Money London Marathon, Dementia Revolution.

Do I need to register for the event?

There is no need to register for the event and entry is free – simply turn up with family or friends. You can even tell all your running companions to come along, even if they aren’t completing the race. For opening times and directions, visit the official Virgin Money London Marathon website.

Along with all of this there will also be several photo opportunities including posing with a giant medal or with a huge heart photo frame. We want you to get the best social media picture so why not share the picture on your social channels and use it as a tool to encourage even more donations!

Another way to increase your donations is to tell your supporters about the new donate button on the Virgin Money London Marathon website and app. Exclusively for Virgin Money Giving fundraisers, your supporters can donate straight to your fundraising page at a click of a button while tracking you around the course. Find out more at the Virgin Money Giving Challenge Zone.

We hope to see you at the Running Show and from everyone at Virgin Money Giving, you are amazing and #ThanksaBillion for raising even more for charity. You’ve got this!
